Auto Loan Calculator
A car payment depends on more than the sticker price. Taxes and fees rolled into the loan raise it; a down payment and trade-in lower it.

How it works
Sales tax = (price - trade-in) x tax rate. Amount financed = price - down payment - trade-in + sales tax + fees. Payment = A x r / (1 - (1 + r)^-n), with r = APR / 12 and n months.
FAQ
Does my state tax the trade-in?
Many states tax only the price minus the trade-in, which is what this assumes. Some states charge a flat or capped fee instead of a percentage; enter that under fees and set the tax rate to 0.
Is a longer term better?
It lowers the payment but raises total interest. Compare 48, 60 and 72 months.
What if I owe money on my trade-in?
Enter the trade-in value minus what you still owe. If you owe more than it is worth, add the difference to fees.
